As a LilNouner, I agree with those mentioned whales this time and believe that we should fork! Nouns often underestimate the value of subDAOs, ignoring them and undermining them.

what’s the difference between a subDAO and a fork? πŸ€”

The forks are built toward minority protection, while subDAOs are made towards decentralization, which Nouns prove they are not after. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Maybe they say that, or perhaps they even wanted that at some point, but actions are not saying that. If we look back, they did that repeatedly during past years by competing with subDAOs instead of collaborating.

The collective, the majority of Nouns token holders. Which we can call them as a whole.

would be curious which props made you feel we're "competing with subDAOs instead of collaborating"! (not saying you're wrong, mostly looking to understand)

We were aligned; we were supposed to create a graduation pathway, and we built it. But we can't compete with Nouns grants, we can't compete with Nouns rounds of Prop House, and we definitely can't compete with Candidates built to kill subDAO initiatives, and a lot more.

What do you mean by aligned? I've always felt odd about Lil Nouns drawing a line in the sand trying to only do Lil Nouns stuff instead of being an alternative Nouns entry point with a specific mandate It shouldn't be about competing but complimenting what Nouns does, imo

We were supposed to graduate people from Lil Nouns to Nouns, and shouldn't be shortcuts in graduation. We did that for some. But most who came chose to use the shortcuts created by a centralized body of Nouns through Prop House, Grants, and now Candidates, better prizes, and quicker paths. But are they still around?

Many individuals come to us nowadays solely because we possess 16 Nouns. Most of them do not even stay for a day with us, as their sole interest is in obtaining our votes. While we are not stingy and often provide assistance, this is not the correct value proposition to adopt.

And yes, we may do some things for Lil Nouns to stay sustainable and increase our value propositions, and many of those are done by considering graduation at some point.

DAO's decision will shape the future. I hope we stake ETH to sustain DAO's future, create a budget for kickstarting new projects and their growth, and buy back 1-2 Nouns to graduate and sponsor them to the Nouns DAO at some point. However, the current level of centralization may limit this possibility; we can hope.

Really happy to see folk like @goldy and @noun40 asking these questions. Reflection, communication and consideration goes a long way for those in the Lil’s and broader subDAO community πŸ™πŸ½
