i don't think new programmers will ever fundamentally understand front end programming ever again. the AI is too strong. if something looks off, the zoomers are just gonna reprompt instead of trying to understand the underlying logic back in my day..

you're not wrong, but simultaneously kinda terrifying (esp beyond CSS) there's going to be a whole market for people that actually understand how things work to come in and fix messes that have been created lol it's all fun and games until you need to do something non-trivial and hit a wall ๐Ÿ˜œ
