This all may be just utterly theoretical as most non-crypto people will just leave Warpcast after approximately five minutes, but it'd make sense to project the image that crypto actually serves a valid purpose rather than confirming the common perception of it being just a speculative scheme. There's no need to demonize those notifications, but there's also no need to treat them as if they were essential. Making them opt-in rather than opt-out would indeed reduce their use–and there's nothing wrong about it, considering that it's a feature that can backfire. All those responsible adults that can make informed decisions and will benefit from it surely are also capable of checking a box.

To say that crypto serves no other purpose than speculation is completely deranged. For several years now, you could have bought Ethereum and Solana, and run a low-cost staking node to regain your initial investment. The nature of Ethereum and Solana being decentralized, in terms of how upgradable they are, give you pretty similar rights, at least from a layman legal understanding, as when you are buying a publicly offered stock. There is a mechanical connection between the price of Ethereum and Solana and the protocol's capability of accruing fees. I'm not the only one who's saying this. This is a common opinion also among financial analysts. Not a lawyer DYOR
