web3 mobile ux today:

connect wallet
select rainbow
open rainbow app - nothing happens for 10 secs
connect dialog finally shows up
interact with dapp -> waiting for sig
go to rainbow - nothing happens
go back, disconnect wallet
connect metamask
do tx
go to MM - nothing happens
??

walletconnect is so broken

I’ve had to fix bugs in WalletConnect, Metamask and Trust wallet in my day. We need to move to something else.

Does being more of a general use protocol limit WC? If someone were to work on a protocol that would only work for their app, could they make different tradeoffs to what wc does and solve this issue?
