When we speak about our army currently fighting the russians, people always imagine some kind of professional military… but it’s students, journalists, dancers, poets, startup founders, farmers… I feel like this always somehow escapes people, everyone imagines some kind of professional war machine & doesn’t feel much empathy or compassion, when it’s so many regular people who lived happy lives, pursuing their passions and building careers, who had to jump in and learn how to fight and become medics when the genocidal invaders came. So, if you see this post, scroll down and check the civilian professions of these amazing people (I’m proud to know some of them IRL) and imagine yourself in their place. Sharing this as a reminder: when I say that @crystalhearts is helping our defenders, this is who I’m sending supplies to, people from all walks of life who are risking their lives defending Ukraine from invasion, they are the reason many Ukrainian cities are not under russian occupation.

Sounds like Ukrainian army is entirely civilian workers converted to fighters, while Russian army is 100% professional combat warriors. Simply not true. Russian army is absolutely the same: farmers, students, dancers, poets, musicians they are all present along with seasoned veterans, just like in Ukrainian army. Don't mislead people.

Cool, so all of your russian poets, musicians, and farmers are invading a foreign country—killing civilians, kidnapping children, and bombing the hell out of residential buildings. I’m talking about people from different professions stepping up, leaving their lives and careers behind to defend their country when invaders come. Meanwhile, you’re talking about people of any profession becoming genocidal maniacs and invading a foreign country, which is also absolutely true lol I’m actually glad you brought attention to it. So why didn’t you describe that part as well? You know, to avoid misleading people—just like you said :)

Russians will show up anywhere to defend their psycho murderers. Oh, you know, those farmers and students could have chosen to go to prison instead of killing innocent people. And they’re choosing to invade and kill because sitting in prison is boring and doesn’t pay—whereas joining the invasion, killing people and occupying cities does. So yeah, they’re not getting any compassion or empathy from me whatsoever.
