I type without looking at the keyboard. I actually text russian most of the time and totally fine, despite the fact I have american layout on my macbook. Once i rented a hotel room in France and it had the same keyboard (like in your picture) in the lobby, and never noticed it was different.

A typical keyboard in russia looks like this. Not a single store in sight sells keyboards without Cyrillic letters engraved on the keys next to Latin. My designer eyes hurt when i see this mess, so when i ordered my first personal macbook i ordered it from the US, so i have a single glyph on each key. Had to wait for 3 weeks for the DHL to ship it thou, totally worth it 🙃

Yeah, it has indeed. We see no point in changing what's conventionally perfect. Standards are standards for a reason
