I haven’t tried notcoin so I may be midcurving this one, but tapping a big app button repeatedly to earn a coin doesn’t sound fun to me. OTOH it sounds like preying on the desperation of people whose $/hr income is so low that they’re better off spending their time mindlessly farming a dumb token like automata

Which of course doesn’t contradict your thesis, @woj.eth, that every community might end up with their token. More of an observation about the sad state of engagement and user farming in the design of said tokens (let alone their pyramidal nature where friend referrals earn even more tokens)

yeah i think its one of these things that you just need to accept that will be happening

ofc im not embracing a collective time wasting, but any honest observer should admit that these tokens have traction and are collectively worth more and more
