GN and question for the group. When you read these words, what comes to mind? 1. "Radical honesty" 2. "Radical transparency"

What comes to mind is the radical candor framework for leadership (from the eponymous book), and finding an elusive balance between (i) ruinous empathy, (ii) compassionate candor, (iii) obnoxious agression, and (iv) manipulative insincerity.

(i) is low challenge / high care, (ii) is high on both, (iii) is low care / high challenge, and (iv) is low on both. I’m speculating the individual contributor group is overrepresented in here so maybe this does not resonate as widely, but the book is worth a read for leaders/people managers.

I appreciate that you’ve noticed this and made the connection! I was asking largely from that perspective. Also testing the sentiment here about these terms. Great insight RE: ICs over-presented - I agree.
