not necessary for sentience per se, but there won't be a need for AI to do our current jobs because it'll have already solved for it and the idea of work will have changed. new jobs, not old done by AI

I don't think artificial sentience has product-market fit to the point of oligopoly. much of the demand is B2B, and they want autonomous work.
