Interesting article. I was especially interested in the timestamps, because looked into it earlier this year. I understand why he came to the conclusion that it is the Pacific Time Zone. It was one of my first thought too, but not any more.

no, the claim that Satoshi mined slower in order to keep the difficulty low is ridiculous. They could have mined far more blocks and thus earned FAR more btc by operation at their maximum
