we are trending toward a world where the people who make decisions create a layer between them and you of people whose job it is to tell you there's nothing they can do and be punching bags it's increasingly harder to speak to a human or be treated like a human scale is killing humanity

And I have yet to see a chatbot that’s even remotely helpful. Every time I interact with one, it feeds me vanilla FAQ answers to typical issues, as if I was unable to read them in the first place, and comes nowhere near to addressing the edge case that I’m actually stuck with.

LLM may be serendipitous for edge cases, but they're trained for the statistical middle. The real skill (e.g., for our children's ability to manipulate their surroundings) will be reading the model's cues and feeding them back most efficiently
