Had to stop and sell the photography gear for my hobby back in June due to redundancy. 

This was my gear and the photographs I was able to take with it.

If you are wondering why the stacked raw is green, it's because there are more green pixels in the bayer matrix of the sensor (twice as many) so the green cast is just a by product of the stacking process and very easy to remove.

oh quick napkin math would be around £3500.  I built it in stages as deep-sky astrophotography isn't cheap.

how much do you think it will cost me to buy the equipment that helped you take a picture like this?

It would look different to the human eye as we don’t see the colours.  But modern camera sensors and especially astronomy camera sensors are able to pick up the colours. For example we can’t see narrowband wavelengths like hydrogen alpha. But buy using filters we can isolate them.  Like the image below.
