Feeling discouraged by Farcaster. Every update makes channels harder to follow (on Warpcast - they ghee always been the weak point of supercast) giving more weight to a timeline I don't care about. That's the opposite of what I wanted. Also, I don't get to be a member of /books, so why would I keep participating if people can't even see what I write? My recs might as well go back to Twitter or, much better, on my blog where I decide what people can see. Sad times.

i can see the changes adding new friction. it'll probably take a while to work out the bugs in the format i'm trying to be as open with invites as i can with this channel without letting spam flood in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i know this channel often seems to be very niche focused but it's really open to anything since it's just about being an internet person. for example, u could share your blog posts in here even if they're not explicitly about *the internet*! this new channel paradigm seems to be more about communities than topics and i think a lot of ppl in this channel are generally interested in looking at personal sites and reading blogs ^-^ i hope u stick around tho! u add a unique voice to this network <3

I feel they decided to close the channels way too early. Luckily, the vibes here are still comfier than alternatives so I'm happy to stay, but I can see these choices really harming growth and user acquisition as it forces every new user to be a reply guy
