.. one correction: not "some" but 99% of them. Don't know about any important Western news company that sounds an alarm about that journalists deaths spike, besides Guardian. Maybe they sound an alarm about that CPJ report? Where? 

It is obvious WHO caused that death spike, and still no media reaction...

CPJ, which issued the report (and has done so annually for many years) is a Western journalism organization inasmuch as it’s based in New York City. But I think I understand your point and agree some Western journalists and their orgs could/should do better.
