Although I am naturally excited about all the technological advances being made globally, I have some reservations about “Smart Factories.” I believe the core of AI is to help mankind, not replace mankind.. so a Smart Factory that is 100% automated not only replaces mankind, but the adverse effects of it also have the potential to trickle down into so many other areas of society. Factory jobs have always accounted for a high bulk of employment.. With automated factories, AI takes these jobs away, impacting the economy in a negative way. Less jobs means less family income.. Less income produces more stress.. More stress perpetuates illness..etc Finding a healthy balance between mankind/AI is key to bridging the best of both these worlds.

The rise of the machines! Just kidding, this is amazing progress. Xiaomi's trust in AI to optimize and evolve its processes is a significant milestone. Can't wait to see the impact on the industry!
