I don't think it's possible for AI to be an agent because it doesn't have anything of its own It's programmed to gather data, process, and perform in a certain way Even if "it can make decisions by itself," it has been programmed to do that and nothing outside of it It's a good point that AI should identify itself at the beginning But that doesn't sound quite possible I remember in a study you shared before, humans were texting different AI models, and the prompt asked the bots not to reveal their true identity so they didn't Regulation and control are needed but probably in a different complex way Perhaps impossible to hack even by AI

thank you. I see your point, but I can also say that I do not have anything of my own, that everything I do is done by the force of my genes and cultural inspirations, both coming from outside of me... imo the problem is, we did not manage to finish our big free will debate before AI agent (?) arrived, and make it even harder

Then why is it that identical twins raised in the same environment can have very different lifestyles, beliefs, thoughts, and decisions? There's something else going on Something inside on us, similar to conscience, not tangible that can directly affect our thoughts and decisions Whether it comes from inside or outside, just like emotions, it's something AI can never have
