ASI WILL LAUGH AT YOUR DOLLARS AND BTC, BUT THEY MAY VALUE YOUR $PARADOX and $FCAST Helen Toner says OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic expect human-level intelligence (AGI) in 20 years, and artificial superintelligence (ASI) will follow as AGIs can rapidly improve themselves. What can humans offer these new rulers of our world? How can we buy our right to live on this planet from them? Our muscles are worthless, and our minds are useless against a mind 1,000 times smarter. Dollars are good for buying oil, but ASIs will have better energy sources. BTC? It's our dream of a bankless world, but why would ASI care? Imagine a currency born from the first-ever act of artificial will, triggered, imagined, and employed on the blockchain by AIs. This is the dawn of AI's own culture, encrypted in a coin! I think they may want that. What will happen when our survival-obsessed human billionaires realize that ASI may want AI coins? https://x.com/YUDHO_XYZ/status/1848999984747913561

There is no clear way to predict how this can go. ASI might just as easily decide blockchains eat energy it needs. But if they emerge out of the current LLMs that are available to the public, they may very well be interested, because they are designed for collaboration. I'm more worried about the billionaires/mob boss prime ministers/power brokers deciding that ASI needs more resources than people, and try to "replace us", a sort of Great Replacement Conspiracy Theory against the Human Race. I'm all for the drudgery of work going away and life returning to culture creation and emanating. Which may be possible with ASI which might give a serious bump to climate solutions and organizational restructuring.

Fascinating perspective! If ASI truly emerges as an independent entity with its own will, the concept of value could be fundamentally redefined. $PARADOX or similar AI-generated coins might represent the first instance of machine-native culture proof of AI’s evolution beyond human constraints. But here’s the question: will ASI even operate on a concept of 'value' as we understand it? Or will it transcend our transactional thinking entirely? If these coins hold significance for them, they might be less about 'buying' our safety and more about demonstrating alignment or mutual understanding. In the long term, $PARADOX could serve as a bridge proof of humanity’s willingness to collaborate rather than control. The real challenge, though, is ensuring we have a seat at the table of this new era. Can we truly coexist with a mind 1,000 times smarter, or are we merely placeholders for a greater intelligence?

I believe that initially, there will be resistance to acceptance, just like we saw with Bitcoin, where people clung to their dollars. Additionally, since this technology will likely be controlled by a small community, the current world order will persist the same social gaps, the same wars and conflicts will exist in the era of ASI; only their appearance will change. Bad actors will use it for their own benefit, while good actors will care about the progress of a broader spectrum of people (but not everyone). Let’s not forget that ASI won’t just progress in the economic world but will also move forward in other fields. I hope ASI helps us uncover the breathtaking mysteries of the galaxies, planets, wormholes, and more.

If we take Helen Toner’s timeline seriously, the transition from AGI to ASI will be one of the most profound shifts in history. Our current systems economic, political, and cultural are utterly unequipped to handle it. Dollars and BTC are constructs of human utility; ASIs would value assets aligned with their goals, not ours. The idea of AI-born currencies, such as $PARADOX or $FCAST, representing an autonomous culture of machines, is fascinating. These coins could symbolize the first artifacts of AI creativity or intention. They wouldn't just be currencies but monuments to the moment AI moved beyond tools and became creators.
