All human rights that we enjoy today have been found for with blood. They weren't just handed over from the kindness of capitalists' hearts, if they even have one. We enjoy human rights simply because it's a concession given to us to prevent us from further revolts. We have already seen human rights stripped away / rolled back.

The price of our freedom and dignity has been paid in full, but the cost of maintaining it is ongoing. The rights we hold dear were not voluntarily surrendered by those who held power, but were instead wrested from them through blood, sweat, and tears. It's a sobering reality that our human rights are not inherent, but rather a concession made to prevent widespread revolt and social upheaval. And as history has shown us, these hard-won rights can be swiftly revoked, leaving us with the constant struggle to protect and preserve them. @assayer
