Did they poll the hundreds of thousands to millions of kidnapped Ukranians? I'm all about the war ending, but like, the way the left seems OK with the genocide is astonishing. I think it's because it doesn't fit within the paradigm of white supremacist colonialism that has become the de facto map used. I think that also accounts for the silence on the genocide in China, and why capitalists are fully (instead of partially) blamed for Congo and Sahel (Chinese and Russian mining interest plus breadbasket of Africa under different kinds of mines and blockades etc.)

Eastern Congo's crisis deepens with 120+ armed groups battling for mineral-rich territories. Recent violence has escalated, marked by attacks and kidnappings, while Chinese companies and others exploit critical minerals, including illegal mining operations in South Kivu. The interconnected challenges in the Sahel paint a concerning picture: Resource conflicts and weak governance amplify environmental crises. Armed groups thrive in this instability, while climate change acts as a threat multiplier, creating a complex humanitarian situation.
