are taller people really faster walkers? I've found that there's not much of a correlation

Are you sure? I’ve always thought tall = long strides = cover more ground… granted, I’m about 5’5 and hard to keep up with.

yeah so that’s one side of the tradeoff but I think people with short legs have faster stride speeds my theory is that the legs are lighter and thus easier to move taller people are generally better sprinters, but that advantage goes away for longer distances… I think it boils down to stride speeds / efficiency
