controversial that there are no bike lanes, but Broadway in lower Manhattan is similar and I find that traffic is usually pretty calm

The article mentions there isn’t a dedicated bus lane but the render has one… From what I read, the traffic would be bad bad bad

This would be great. I support bike lanes but it'd be nice to have one avenue to not worry about that.

An improvement to be sure but weird to see them shirk so many of the commonly recognized techniques for improving safety and non-car transportation. The only think I like about this is the Bus Only lane. And HOV would make no sense because Taxis are everywhere. As is they will have to fine them constantly. Still it should be on the side of the road not the center. Where are people supposed to get out? Directly into traffic? Or the bus constantly switches lanes? Moronic.
