Just doing a political temperature check on where people are at here on free speech questions. What’s the general attitude toward this attempt to deport a Columbia student protest leader without charging him with anything and despite the fact that he’s a lawful permanent resident?

Concerningly, the State Department, through the power of the Executive, may have some power and discretion to remove permanent residents if their presence/activities are deemed to have "potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences." But there seems to be little to no precedent so no idea how this will play out in the courts. https://www.perplexity.ai/search/what-free-speech-protections-a-QUy5VCExSqmwzEwzLGk8TQ#1
