What assurance do the American people have that the eugenicist and racist beliefs espoused by the DOGE staffer do not influence decisions on which programs are considered wasteful? I'm all for forgiveness and edgy humor, but those posts were beyond the pale and unacceptable for someone reviewing government programs.

There is none unfortunately. The mentality is they don't owe us assurance, what they say goes and we just have to believe they are right because they are the final authority. It reminds me of bad parents.

Unfortunately they do influence the whole thing imo. It would be ok to optimize government spending if it wasn't actually to serve an ideology.
