This is a good illustration of impact of small details on the mental model of a product and hence how users react to it. 
The stroke/font selection on excali gives me permission to be rough and focus on concepts vs how it looks. TlDraw didn’t so it didn’t click for me. It’s a snap judgement.

did you try new Apple app Freeform on ios 16?

The fact that it opens straight into create mode instead of having you go through file management is amazing for one-off use cases

And the Code extension is incredible. Name a file as .excalidraw or .excalidraw.svg and you have an excalidraw editor in vs code, that saves as an svg and works with git.
