Introducing: Seemore qDAU Score π If we want Farcaster to be the infra for a new social internet... We gotta build public goods to accelerate alt clients AND those goods can't be held captive by the incentives of crypto giants Plus scores are fun to argue about π«‘ https://seemore.tv/creatortools/qdauscore

Damn. Interesting initiative. I think this is a good start. One idea could be to experiment with quote casts being higher weight as they signal that the quoter doesn't just want to have a 1-1 convo but a 1-many convo with your cast as a prompt (encouraging engagement across the platform).

Means a lot coming from you man! Thatβs interesting! We weighted the quotes explicitly lower as an anti-dunk incentive Related - Iβm so excited for tangible public discussion of social algorithms on Farcaster

one man's dunk is another man's invitation to the community to engage. there's an implicit idea that some kinds of likes should be/will be discounted (maybe, those on a quote cast?)

fwiw I think the methodology should lean into specific value judgments by adding sub-rules, rather than trying to keep likes orthogonal to recasts and twiddling the weights. The formula complexity acts as a useful "tax" on value judgments

Would love to hear your gut thoughts on these value judgments!
