Things we want to dial in:

- How much should high follower counts penalize your score? rn it isn't high enough, but many followers are inactive so we're overcounting

- Are our action weights (reply vs recast vs like) aligned w what a qDAU is?

- How do we measure less obvious qDAU actions like community leadership?

We know the score is wrong 😬

But we want to start the conversation. 

We think the concept of a "cast engagement score" adjusted by Follower count is an okay start.

Join us as we make an OSS repo and let's figure out a way for new client devs to get a user quality algo that is fair, reasonable, and just works!

Interesting initiative. I think this is a good start. 

One idea could be to experiment with quote casts being higher weight as they signal that the quoter doesn't just want to have a 1-1 convo but  a 1-many convo with your cast as a prompt (encouraging engagement across the platform).

Glad we are talking about it. Im mainly curious to see if we can establishing a minimum score that would qualify someone as a qDAU or not. A few thoughts: 

1) Follower counts mean very little to me. I don't believe I actually have 20.8k real people following me right now. So I wouldn't use this.

While this is a fun fun, we think the most relevant “score” to Casters trying to cast well is a self comp across time albeit still weighted somehow against temporal followers AND against the relative intra-channel performance

Rn we just use followers to slightly handicap larger account scores

I’ve gained a lot on inactive folllowers since frames… and when it comes to engagement I handicap myself casting into low /ag channels.  

Overly complicated - add metric for engagement / channel followers so folks casting to small count channels aren’t getting knocked down?

you probably don’t think about liquidity enough // it is what it is  // build value, not valuation

A quick analysis makes me think the Farcastle casts (which naturally are functional for the game but less likely to get interacted with) are skewing your score down a good bit - we’ll dial it in better for the next release
