Looks like active transacting addresses on @zora are down WoW since March 2024. @zora's app is pretty sweet. Creators can create onchain in seconds. Collectors can collect creations with Apple Pay in seconds. ...but why? 👉 Why would a creator want to take advantage of blockchain tech? what's in it for them? 👉 Why would a collector want to mint? what can they do with mints after they've collected? 👉 And, most importantly: why Zora? My guess is the WoW declining txns since March's highs are partially a result of unclear answers to these questions from top of funnel marketing through the product experience, across all products (web, app). Now that @zora has a consumer app that warrants growth, hammering home answers to these questions across the experience, from consideration through engagement is vital. Caveat: This data may be incorrect/not updated, I pulled this chart from this awesome Dune dashboard by @jhackworth https://dune.com/jhackworth/zora-network

i'd say the collector aspect is the most critical. I guess they should focus in gathering/onboarding more participants who genuinely enjoy collecting onchain art. on the supply/demand of art on chain, I'd say the demand end is way oversaturated (many more participants creating than participants collecting. Zora has a great product for free mints, and I do see the LP update being a solid differential that keeps them on top. I believe the existential risk lives in whether they keep new collectors coming in, while maintaining current ones, or not. Did you by any chance check these numbers on competitors?

Agree about collectors I still don’t really understand Zora for the artists who are here right now It would be/ will be amazing if there was 100 million people all enjoying a feed of new creations from 1 million creators who used it instead of Instagram But for now? Why use Zora over Manifold / Transient Labs on the L1? If you want cheap fees go to Solana. Feels ahead of its time and not in the right zone for the current market But I’d love to be proven wrong. Its net negative for the ecosystem for thoughtful experiments to lose users
