Checking the top recipients regularly and acting immediately could help prevent abuse more effectively.

Exactly !! And what annoy me the most is that the proper farmers can get away with it … making what most of the people do in a season in the space of couple of days …

Agreed. Some level of manual investigation is required as clearly we cannot rely on algorithms and data alone.

This is a good idea, top farmers do more harm then the rest of the others combined, so instead of banning everybody, they should focus on top users on the leaderboard.
