What is your position on screen time for kids?

Soft time limited. Not every time spent on-screen is bad screen time. I don't like YouTube, though, because of the ads and the rabbit holes it exposes them to. Within 3 to 4 videos they are watching really dumb stuff and getting ads for candy and cake. But creating things on screen is different that mindlessly consuming moving pictures. More important to me is their eye-health, so they also need to be able to spend time on things that makes them shift focus to near and far. I once read that's the biggest challenge with screen watching. And for that, a book, held at the same distance as a screen, is similarly problematic. In the end, it's all about balance.
