Gm, I believe this is an Iris, and it's massive! Would it be possible to take it with me home and plant it? (I'm at a family members home, and they're okay with it. Haha)

Beautiful iris! Yes you can, make sure to dig up the tuber though. Generally irises are not planted deeply so it's an easy task to lift and divide the tuber to take! Lucky you! ❤️ 20 $DEGEN
