It's now been over 2 years and 3 months that arfy's quit smoking ciggies. Haven't had a single one since I quit cold turkey, and haven't really wanted one tbh. But I do think I've replaced one habit with another, as I'm constantly intaking nicotine via my e-cigarette throughout the day. At least my house no longer stinks of smoke, and there's no combustion involved. Anyone else in this situation?

I’ve been in the same situation for 6 years. My wife asks me to quit using e-cigarettes as well.

Oh wow, that's great, you've quit for 6 years?! Well done frenpai. 🤝 My wife isn't the biggest fan of e-cigs either, but at least I don't have these very strong smelling artificial flavours, just natural tobacco extract which smells... almost of nothing!

I’m using a heated tobacco product called IQOS, made by Philip Morris. The experience feels pretty similar to smoking regular cigarettes, but there’s hardly any smell compared to cigarettes. Since it’s not burned, it doesn’t have that strong odor.

Ah yes! I've got an IQOS as well, although I don't use it anymore. It's an interesting device, and seems very popular when I was in Japan. While it is a lot better than regular smoking, I still felt that heated element of it, gave off a stronger smell and smoke (and aftertaste). But I do think they're a lot better than regular cigarettes though! Probably the closest thing to smoking-that's-not-smoking, as you can get!

You’ve been to Japan! IQOS has quite a large market share there. You’re right, the used sticks do have a strong smell. Actually, I gained weight after I started using IQOS, haha. Food tastes so much better now compared to when I was smoking regular cigarettes.
