a friend brought me some tiny succulent clippings yesterday. they have very small roots. i’m not really sure how to take care of them, i got some cactus soil and sort of just placed them on top because the roots are too small to plant. will they be able to grow like this?

Yes, that looks ideal to me! Remember not to overwater them to avoid damp and rot issues. Keep us updated on how they do!
