One surprising fact I’ve come across is that octopuses have three hearts, and two of them stop beating when they swim Two hearts pump blood to the gills, while the third pumps it to the rest of the body When they swim, the heart pumping to the body pauses, which is why they prefer crawling to conserve energy! It’s wild how their biology is so different from ours
