founders, don’t add a token component to your product unless you actually have long term plans for it.

I know short term gains are attractive, but the amount of founders who underestimated this aspect and lost sight of what really mattered is impressive.

love the word token trap 

from whatever limited reading I've done - a token that doesn't improve the product's value significantly is typically not a very good design (e.g. Uni token incentivising LP pools for Uniswap which is core to their existence etc. vs a random memetic governance token)
