@heavygweit and i are kicking around the idea of "story groups." a Story Group is a thread of casts of content like images or videos.

e.g. you have a public photo dump from Singapore, but then a private spill coming home. the public story is a thread of casts with image embeds.

what do y'all think?

Sounds personally valuable and even necessary given the uniqueness of the broader protocol here with it's public/private handling. I wonder how this functionality comes to life for the end user, particularly when it comes down to managing private distro(s). Are you all thinking something like the public 'Your Story' vs private 'Close Friends' selection in IG stories? a single, global set of FIDs I can set as a target for all Private Stories?

broader q: Are you all going for interoperability, in that casts with images published from other clients will show in UNO as stories? Or only UNO made casts show in that full screen Story format?

1. we definitely want an open format (similar to what @kepano did with JSON Canvas) for understanding the cast collections, but there is a massive challenge with eventual consistency. like some casts might make it to some hubs or removals.

2. private is only mutuals today, we will iterate later for sure!
