Finally shooting flames in the garage!

This is a big step for me towards my goals for the year. Got some solid SOPs documented for safely igniting and extinguishing and we’re cooking with gas. Looking forward to the weekend for some more time to start brazing.

I’m pumped, but couldn’t spend much time in the garage tonight. Just made sure I could turn it on and off and ran some safety tests on the connections. I’ve got a healthy fear of this thing but feeling relieved that it’s fully functioning without any apparent issues. Had a little trouble lighting at first, but found I was giving it too much gas on the torch to start.

Standard operating procedure. Just documenting every single step to keep from messing anything up, before I get the hang of it.

Yes! Beers on me. Lots of practice ahead. Fired it up this evening to try melt some bronze. Here’s my SOP doc. I’ve already got some edits
