I would be down to just nix all follow notifications: 1. Bulk are "low quality" users, and thus spammy notifications 2. Even the good quality users, there's minimal value in getting notified that they followed you

For people with less than 500 or so followers I think it’s good signal to get follower notifs At a certain number, I agree with you. I don’t look at mine and wouldn’t miss them if they are gone

fwiw, as a smol acct, it is encouraging! but I also experience some amount of weird signal in there from repetitive following and unfollowing from unfamiliar accts.
