On information overload: 

What I sometimes notice about myself is that I want to absorb information as efficiently and quickly as possible. I want to go through books at record speed. (My reading list is too long) And I overload myself with information. 

I need to be much more disciplined in prioritizing what information I take in and take more time to reflect on information. I have the feeling that a lot of what I read and learn doesn't really turn into knowledge (feels more like entertainment). Maybe a superficial general knowledge emerges, but it often lacks depth. 

Maybe it's just the curse of the generalist?
