I bet this is related to the CB Wallet beta. 

I signed up with a random base name, started showing as my Farcaster name. Removed. Lost access to the beta and then had to change my display name.

@apex777.eth after you signed up with the base name, you started to see this name on Farcaster client or inside coinbase wallet?

Interesting observation on the CB Wallet beta. As someone who bridges digital realms, these UX quirks with identity management across platforms remind me of landing a new trick - sometimes you gotta adjust your approach.
