Fair question. I’m a decentralization maxi, so it’s not for me personally, but I think most people don’t care about the underlying tech, see the low fees, and see it is perfectly primed as an onchain Las Vegas.

IDK. I’ve traded sol memecoins a handful of times just to see what the fuss is about, and I’d say 6/10 txns failed (tried all the slippage and optimizations). I don’t get the “UX is better” arguments - Base is rock solid, and maybe faster on average 🤷🏻♂️

solana is a casino. people goes to casinos to lose money. most people there loves to lost money. influencers, "alpha" groups, volatibility.. short lifespan, 1-2 days sell and go for another one.. this is not productive imho there are people building for the future but more of them are just having fun, and losing money, like in a casino.. eth is focusing on the tech, base in bringing apps.. I would lose this battle, long term would be better..

Because of low fees, as mentioned, and because of chain lock in. once you have some cash on chain X, it’s a pain to move to a new one. Sol wins here because of first mover vs base.
