I feel the social app X became a place crypto artists ‘have to be’; like it was the centre of everything and artists should be there in order to be relevant. I think that expectation is unhealthy especially as the ethos of crypto is decentralisation and also the ethos of many artists is to ‘not conform to rules’…. I’m very happy to break that X rule anyway and not be there anymore. It felt like a very unhealthy place for me

I feel that. I’m less and less there and really can’t find reasons to be there anymore besides the few friends I keep in touch with there. 
Sharing my art doesn’t get any views and I don’t have the desire to become a slave of the app in order to get the algo to see me

I was sad to disconnect with some good people there but, I don’t see it as lost forever as there are so many other ways to stay in touch and I hope that’s possible. But for that app, its main feed, its algo etc, it’s been really good for my head disconnecting from that
