Artists confessions time: What’s an art rule you always break or ignore, and why? (Be honest!)

I feel the social app X became a place crypto artists ‘have to be’; like it was the centre of everything and artists should be there in order to be relevant. I think that expectation is unhealthy especially as the ethos of crypto is decentralisation and also the ethos of many artists is to ‘not conform to rules’…. I’m very happy to break that X rule anyway and not be there anymore. It felt like a very unhealthy place for me

It would be a shame if X had become a 'rule' while we were busy with something else. 😂

I deleted my twitter account last year, I couldn't maintain my own integrity whilst the far right were given a platform to spout their hatred. People kept telling me I needed to get one when I landed here,bm set one up r days ago for about an hour, just didn't sit right with me at all. Buuut I love this place, this is open and decentralised, which makes it all the more worthwhile being here methinks.

I feel that. I’m less and less there and really can’t find reasons to be there anymore besides the few friends I keep in touch with there. Sharing my art doesn’t get any views and I don’t have the desire to become a slave of the app in order to get the algo to see me
