Elon's Starlink may help people stranded in the wilderness, but it certainly ruined something for people "stranded" in the desert: burning man.

Everyone born before smartphones remembers how wild and unscripted things were when actions, barring hospitals or jail or divorce, had no real long-term consequences. Things were way more animated and lively.
