i can't ignore all the crime reports but also don't want to overstate the issue (esp. with multiple elections coming up and right wing candidates boosting propaganda budgets)

Paris was perfectly fine, at least in the 6th and 7th. I'm told other arrondissements are different. 

Coming from SF though, everything seems utopic.
