@90tun
People see the same oppression happening in most of these movies irl, they always side with the resistance in the movies, they’re moved by their stories but when being faced with the same thing, they do nothing and prefer to be oppressed. It’s sad really, but at the same time, they’re not always to be blamed, sometimes people are just powerless 😖

I mean I really don’t care or think we have any control over it or pick a side with a political party; but the DNC party specifically is extremely corrupt and they are 100% purchased by war lobbyist. If the DNC wins the election it will be war for the next decade. They are the mouthpiece of Lockheed Martin and don’t actually represent American taxpayers. Again to be clear I think all politicians are liars and the 2 party system is broken. But the DNC are truly evil, he’s not wrong about anything.

So the message you're reading there is that DNC is in power and the people (Republicans? Right-wingers in general?) are the oppressed resistance? I'm not being facetious, honestly trying to understand who's who in his scenario

No, the United States is no longer a republic and hasn’t been for 15 or so years. The people votes aren’t represented because there isn’t a popular vote (it’s gerrymandered) and the officials who are in power are actually elected by lobbies who are 90% weapons companies and pharmaceutical companies. It’s a plutocracy and this is actually the literal definition of what America is. You’re trying to bucket people into left and right and also attaching ideals to parties. That’s where you’re letting yourself be manipulated. Most transitional “liberals” believe in the opposite of the the current DNC party supports. They believe in stopping war and stopping homeliness etc. but the current DNC party has been corrupted and co opted by weapons and drug companies and they are actually evil. That being true has literally nothing to do with trump or “republicans” or anything with the 2 party system. The DNC is evil and corrupt on their own accord.

We're mostly on the same page But you're still talking about the political circumstances, what I'm trying to understand is exactly who / what is the oppressed body in Elon's scenario Even if it doesn't make sense or it's not true, I am sure there's a specific implication in his post (expressed in terms of party)

He’s implying the American people as a whole; which I do agree with. And I don’t support either party. These are facts: 1. Trump won the popular vote the last election by a landslide. 2. The American voters never voted for Kamala Harris and they purposely waited to nominate her until after they were legally allowed to force it. This is unconstitutional. 3. Kamala Harris had a 2% approval rating when she ran, the lowest ever in the history of politics. Elon is implying that the DNC is instituting a candidate that was not elected or voted for by the American people and that the current president is not running the country. This is very dark and very bad especially when the people backing this party want globalism and perpetual war. Both of those things are facts. And again, this has literally nothing to do with the Republican Party. Elon isn’t stupid or wrong he’s very aware of the current state.

Politics is so divisive and sad and separating. I rarely even talk about it. The US is currently in a very scary sad spot. The system is the problem, truly. It’s designed to separate people.
