Designs go through a lot of feedback and iterating before they go live. Gathering thorough requirements, developing a deep understanding of the problem, and asking better questions will reduce your risk of spending hours chasing the wrong idea only to end up back at square one. In this cast and frame by @nicolaus you can see some hi-fidelity iterations for @decent. You don't get to see this stuff often, because: ā you only see the finished product ā not all designers keep their iterations for later review (instead, they "overwrite" as they design, thus erasing their own creative trail) there are subtle but important differences between each of them, have a look.
