an experiment: i'll be designing entirely in public with and for a few friendly projects, starting with @gif (by @0xconca.eth) and /atlas (by @jrf); as you know, the /red channel only curates my own casts to the feed, but starting today theirs will be curated too Below a first task / proposal for the @gif composer action layout (with more detail and rationale in the following cast) there are several moving parts here: - advertising /hyperclient, a side-project by me and @0xconca.eth - experimenting with design in public - advertising /red, why not again, only me and selected users will be curated to the main feed to keep this tidy, but everyone can reply and one of the ideas is for this to become conversational and getting more input in the design process let's go

Actually feel there’s a lot of empty space. Don’t think it’s required. Could make it show up only halfway ?

that's just for presentation, try the composer action to get a feel for the environment

Oh my bad. Just for reference here. How about already tagged gifs once the composer action is clicked. Instead of having to search. Having frequently used, happy and a few others being recommended instead of having to search outrightly

Frequently used gifs are already a thing, but only premium users can actually cast them 🙂 The automatic recommendations a good idea tho 🤔

Yeah, how would they be recommended tho? And I guess recs would be separate from recents / uploads

I am pretty sure Tenor, the gif service, as an API for “most used” or “recommended”

And yes, totally separated, “recently used by the user” will stay ad a separate row and it’s only for hypersub subscribers
