physicality gives weight. standardization gives assurance. an additional conversion step, if needed, is not that much of a tradeoff.

japan still uses floppy disks. the government declared war on them last year but i haven't really heard how the war on floppies has been going lately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2022/08/japan-declares-war-on-floppy-disks-for-government-use

It looks amazing. If we are seeing a rise on tapes and vinyls for music, why not floppy disks? I hated them because you couldn't trust them. That's why I bought a zip disk. Those were beyond amazing 😍 I still remember carrying the read/write unit with me. I used it mostly on Linux 😆
