The theme of loneliness has always been deeply present in my psyche. I seem to have an acute awareness of its presence in my own life and in the lives of those I encounter. I’m drawn to understanding what it feels like to face this in later years, when the years behind stretch longer than those ahead. What regrets do people hold? What would they have done differently if they could turn back time? How do they cope with moments of loneliness? It's a topic I think about a lot as well, especially in recent years as my own parents are getting older and some family members experience loneliness even at a much younger age. The poignant part for me was "the last relationship they need to nurture: the one with their own SELF." This can be true for anyone at any age. Something a close relative has been struggling with since early years. Glad you're amplifying this message with your wonderful photography here.
