FWB FEST

After much debate, I won’t be attending FEST after all. My mom was in an accident last week and had surgery for her injuries. She’s being discharged today to my care at home. She’ll need my help 24 hours a day for at least a week. I had a few activities planned during FEST that I’ll have to save for some other time. Wishing everyone a fun time. See you irl soon.

Personal update: I’ve had mom at my home for 8 days to recover from her accident and surgery. Since being discharged to my care she’s regained strength and confidence and has been happily walking around the house with her walker. Tonight she left for my sister’s home to finish her recovery. I miss her already but am happy to get some normalcy back in my home and work life.
